Ruby on Rails via Capistrano and Git in Shared Hosting

Hello I just got a executive shared hosting. I was wondering if you support Ruby on Rails deployment with Capistrano and Git? Thanks!

    I was reading this and it says right at the top it doesn't not work on shared hosting because it is not compatible with cPanel.

    But I had to set up rails 3 using SSH instead of the cPanel RoR tool because cPanel doesn't yet support rails 3. I forget why, I ran into that problem a couple days ago and have since moved on to deployment issues and the installation details have escaped me at the moment.

    So, my question is, will Capistrano work on shared hosting if you are not using the cPanel for your RoR installation in the first place?

    Right now I'm just trying to get it working (I'm new to rails) so I'll figure it out eventually through trial and error if no response from here is forthcoming.

    Hi there, I did not managed to get Capistrano to work in my shared hosting account. I am deploying using git and uploading assets manually, hope it helps you!
